Corporate Structure

Council is required to conform to various sections of the Local Government Act 1993 regarding the Council organisational structure.

Section 332 (1) of the Act requires (among other things), that the Council determine the structure.  Section 333 of the Act allows the organisation structure to be re-determined by the Council from time to time and prescribes that it must be re-determined within 12 months of any ordinary election of the Council.

Council’s current organisation structure is displayed in the flow chart below and meets all requirements of the Act.  The position of General Manager is a senior staff position in accordance with Section 334 (2) of the Local Government Act 1993.
