Noxious Plants

Vehicle removing noxious weedsWithin Urana Shire, every home owner, landowner, or occupier of land, whether they are leasing or renting the property, is responsible for the control of noxious plants.  

Council encourages any person who has the care, control or use of any land to be aware of their obligations and responsibilities as the occupier of that land and to take all reasonable and effective measures to remove noxious plants from their property.

 Any occupier who fails to remove noxious plants without reasonable excuse, shall be liable to a penalty fine not exceeding $10,000 (Ten Thousand Dollars.)
