Rubbish Collection

Waste Management - Rubbish Collection. A household rubbish collection service is provided to residents of each of the towns and villages throughout the Shire on a weekly basis.

Septic Tanks

Installation of on-site sewage management systems requires approval from Council under the Local Government Act 1993.

Sewerage Services

The towns of Urana and Oaklands operate a Council managed sewerage scheme and all residences within these towns are required to connect to these schemes.

Waste Oil Collection

As part of its ongoing environmental protection initiatives, Urana Shire Council has installed two waste oil collection facilities in the Shire.
