Water Management

Reticulated water is provided by Riverina Water to service the 5 villages located in the Shire. Water for Boree Creek, Urana and Oaklands is provided from bores and water mains located near Wagga Wagga. Urana and Oaklands water is supplemented from an open channel located on the Colombo Creek.

All the towns and village within the Shire have a stand pipe which allows residents without reticulated water access to water of a drinking standard.

Water for most of the parks and gardens in Urana is sourced from the Urana Aquatic Centre, while bores located at the Oaklands Swimming Pool and the Oaklands Recreation Ground allow non portable water to be used at these facilities.
