Tenders

All NSW Councils are required to comply with the Local Government Act 1993 for Tendering Regulations which outlines the processes and procedures which must be followed when tendering for the provision of goods or services.

Urana Shire Council is required to implement a tendering process when any single proposed purchase exceeds $150,000.  Examples might include the purchase of real estate, major items of plant or computer system upgrades.

On every occasions where Council goes to a tender process, full statutory compliance is observed, with the overall objective of ensuring best value for the ratepayer dollar in line with the nature of the purchase.
